The very stylish Renate Beaumont created Vanilla Boutique in 2000. Starting off as a small boutique in Summertown, North Oxford, Vanilla has undergone a lot of change over the last seven years and recently has expanded to cater for her lifelong infatuation with interior design. Today the boutique houses a rich and varied selection of original and unique furnishings, objects, art and curiosities sourced from around the world.

Renate was born in Austria. Upon leaving school she studied graphic design for four years and immediately after, moved to Vienna to work for a leading magazine. Renate believes that Fashion is art and this is reflected in her eclectic collections and her ability to continuously seek out new talents.

Renate's passion for beautiful things seeps into every aspect of her daily practice. Working on her Oxford townhouse is an ongoing hobby. A rich palatial feast of clean modern landscaping, Italian furniture and found antiquities reflect her fiercely diverse buying style and creative eye.

Fashion never stands still, and at Vanilla they don’t either. Constantly changing, introducing new labels, seeking out the season’s must-haves. Vanilla stores are quite simply havens of designer delights. Every season, attention is focused on editing the international collections right down to the most sought after key pieces. Lellow Lucy is inspired by the memories of her childhood and her travels. She remembers polka dots, bows, ribbons, stars, bells, leaves, beautiful laces and pearls from her early days. She loves the colours that she came across from her travel; the wild reds, the natural greens, the lovely blues, the unpredictable greys, the classy black, the calming whites and the happy pink. Lellow Lucy tries to incorporate every aspect of these and the results are beautiful, delicate knitwear that are timeless, classy and ultra-feminine.

Lellow Lucy refuses to follow trends but instead wants to provide inspiration and create something that can be worn time and time again. She prides herself on exclusivity. Nothing is worse than going to a party and wearing the same clothes as the girl next to you!

Lellow Lucy started out by selling at a small stall in Portobello Market in London. The continuous positive feedback urged her on and now her clothes can be found in boutiques around UK and Europe.
